Writing and Co-Directing Interplanetary Convulsions for Friend Molly. It might be good if I get that finished in time to send it to some friends and have them critique me a little bit.

Right now, a modern day Jean d'Arc is visiting her therpaist. Many people today surmise that little Jean was probably schizo or at least had a multiple personality disorder.

Of course, Martin Luther (the German Lutheran fellow, not the African American fellow we revere on Monday), so they say, was probably bi-polar.

See what happens when all the crazy people get put on drugs? Nobody does anything cool anymore. If somebody insisted that God told them they would be able to help stop the war (well, first of all, Pat Robertson would probably want to have a conversation with them), they'd get taken away by the FBI or the CIA or somebody with important initials and given lots of drugs.

The French seem to be the ones to rattle my shakey religious outlook. Rather than a 45 year old seeing the Virgin Mary in a piece of toast, they've got young girls coming up with people. Jean d'Arc, Bernedette of Lourdes- girls doing incredible things in the name of God.

Now, I suppose you could say they were evil criminal masterminds, but why would they want to do that? What 12 year old goes, "Yes, I will pretend to be super religious, and see visions, and help the nation. What an evil plan, because it will all be lies!"? Who does that?

So, maybe there's something more to these brain disorders than we can appropriately understand. The human brain is a terrifying thing to tinker around with, because we don't know what it does. You couldn't pay me enough to be a brain surgeon because what if I'm not in fact helping, but screwing things up in the long term? Why do some people's brains work differently than others, and why do we try to make them all work the same rather than working to accept all brain forms?

We are taught to tolerate and accept people based on how they look, but not upon how their brain processes information- that big old complicated organ is supposed to work just like everyone else's? Which seems to be the more superficial toleration here?
